Taught by Mrs. Whyte, this group is open to all strings players regardless of their experience. Students are taught the fundamentals of music and often there are many students with one year of strings performance at the elementary level. There are three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Strings.
Classes are usually held as pull-out classes throughout the week. Please see our schedule for details.
Strings students often perform outside of our school events as well at events like the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival and the District Orchestra concerts.
Students may rent instruments from School District 61 during our designated rental nights, usually held in late September, or through various instrument outlets like Long & McQuade.
